Easy Digital Downloads Advanced Reports

Advanced Reports is an official extension for stores built with Easy Digital Downloads that transforms sales data into detailed, filterable, and actionable reports. It is designed for businesses selling digital products that need to accurately understand what is sold, when, how, and to whom, without relying on external spreadsheets or manual processes.

The tool adds a new section called Advanced Reports within your store's reports area, where you can create as many custom reports as you need, similar to how you would create a page or post in WordPress. Each report is configured with an identifying title, a relative date range (for example, the last 30, 60, or 90 days), and one or more data series that define exactly which metrics you want to visualize.

The available series include gross revenue, net revenue (after taxes), taxes collected, and number of sales. Additionally, each series can be filtered by specific product and payment status, allowing you to answer specific questions like: How many completed sales did Product A have in the last 30 days? How many refunds were processed in the last 60 days? What taxes were collected in the last quarter?

Results are presented in a visual chart accompanied by a detailed table with the exact values for each series. You can also export any report to a CSV file with a single click, ideal for sharing with your team or integrating into your own external analysis tools.

One of the most practical features is the ability to pin reports to the WordPress dashboard. By enabling the "Show on Dashboard" option, the report appears as an individual widget on your desktop, allowing you to see your store's performance at a glance every time you log in, without needing to navigate to the reports section.
