WPDM PDF Viewer Addon

The WPDM PDF Viewer Addon is an official WordPress Download Manager extension that allows your site visitors to preview PDF documents directly in the browser before downloading them. Developed by the WPDownloadManager team, this addon solves one of the most common limitations of the default viewer: the ability to display protected or member-only documents.

The standard WordPress Download Manager Pro viewer uses the Google Docs viewer, which can only preview public PDF files. With this addon, you can display password-protected documents, files restricted by user roles, and any PDF that requires authentication, significantly expanding the possibilities of your download manager.

Its main features include:

• Preview of protected and member-only PDFs directly in the browser.
• Template tag [pdf_gallery] to display multiple PDFs attached to a package in a gallery format.
• Option to configure View and Download buttons independently, allowing the user to decide whether to preview the document or download it directly.
• Full compatibility with WordPress Download Manager packages and templates.
• Seamless integration with existing download detail pages.

This addon is aimed at site administrators who manage technical documentation, manuals, e-books, reports, or any type of PDF content that requires a more complete user experience. It is especially useful for membership sites, digital document stores, and corporate portals where files must remain protected but also easy to consult.

With simple installation and intuitive configuration, the WPDM PDF Viewer Addon improves your users' experience by allowing them to review the content before committing to the download, reducing unnecessary downloads and increasing overall visitor satisfaction.
