WP Grid Builder Map Facet Addon

The Map Facet plugin for WP Grid Builder allows you to create interactive maps from Google Maps, Mapbox, or Leaflet as filterable facets within your content grids. This addon displays markers for posts, terms, or users on a map based on latitude and longitude coordinates, offering an intuitive and visually appealing geographic exploration experience.

Designed for websites that manage location-based content, such as local business directories, real estate listings, event calendars, service provider maps, or any grid that benefits from geographic filtering, this plugin transforms the way visitors discover and navigate your content.

The addon includes a Geolocation facet that allows searching and filtering by a location using Google or Mapbox APIs. It is also possible to detect the user's current location thanks to the browser's geolocation API, with the option to approximate the position via IP address. This makes it easy for visitors to quickly find content near their area.

Its standout features include marker clustering to keep the map clean and organized in areas with high content density, dynamic filtering when panning or zooming the map, and the ability to sort results by distance from the user's location or any custom point.

Configuration is simple: create a new facet, select the filtering action and map type, then choose the provider (Google Maps, Mapbox, or Leaflet) adjusting the behavior of markers, clusters, and controls. The plugin is compatible with Advanced Custom Fields and Meta Box map fields, both for Google Maps and OpenStreetMap, making it easy to assign coordinates to your posts, users, or terms directly from the preview mode of your grid settings.

With support for multiple map providers, seamless integration with the WP Grid Builder ecosystem, and a user-friendly interface, this addon turns any content grid into a powerful and memorable geographic discovery experience for your users.
