UsersWP Private Messaging is an official addon of the UsersWP ecosystem that incorporates a complete private messaging system between users within your WordPress site. Inspired by the most popular chat systems in the world, such as Facebook Messenger, this addon allows registered members of your community to communicate directly and privately, without having to leave the site or access the admin panel.

The addon adds a "Message" button to user profiles and the member directory. When clicked, a popup opens where the user can compose and send their message instantly. Conversations are organized into clear threads and displayed in a "Messages" tab within the profile, where each user can view their recent conversations, sent messages, and unread messages from a centralized and intuitive interface.

Among its most notable features are email notifications for unread messages, with intervals configurable by the administrator, and internal on-site notifications that keep users always informed. The system allows you to set a character limit per message, apply a profanity filter with customizable words, and maintain a blacklist of users to restrict chat usage when necessary.

Privacy and control are pillars of this tool. Each user can decide who can send them messages from their account page, choosing from options such as everyone, no one, only friends, or only followers.
