Ultimate Member User Bookmarks

The Ultimate Member User Bookmarks is an official extension of the Ultimate Member ecosystem that allows users to save and organize content from your website using custom bookmarks. Designed for communities, blogs, membership platforms, and content-oriented sites, this add-on transforms the browsing experience by allowing each member to save their favorite posts, pages, and custom content types for quick access from their profile.

With this extension, administrators can select exactly which content types are bookmarkable, whether pages, posts, or custom post types (CPTs), and have the option to disable bookmarks on individual pages or posts as needed. The bookmark link can be placed at the top or bottom of the content, offering total flexibility in presentation.

Users can organize their bookmarks into custom folders, which can be public or private according to their preference. This encourages community interaction, as members can explore other users' public folders and discover valuable content that others have saved. Bookmark and folder management is done directly from the user's profile area, providing a smooth and intuitive experience.

The extension includes advanced configuration options, such as the ability to disable the folder system if a simpler functionality is preferred, automatic creation of a default folder for new members, and access control based on user roles. It also offers flexible shortcodes like [um_bookmarks_button], [um_user_bookmarks], and [um_user_bookmarks_all] to display bookmark buttons and bookmark blocks anywhere on the site.

Administrators can customize button texts, bookmark and unbookmark icons via CSS classes, and configure the position of the bookmark icon. The extension also allows bookmarking user profiles, adding an additional layer of social interaction. With support for archive pages and profiles, this add-on is ideal for sites looking to increase user retention and foster a more engaged community.
