Ultimate Member Profile Completeness is an official extension of the Ultimate Member ecosystem that allows WordPress site administrators to encourage or force users to complete their profiles effectively. Designed for online communities, membership sites, directories, and platforms that rely on complete user data, this tool transforms the registration process into a guided experience that improves the quality of collected information and fosters a more active and engaged community.
The extension shows each user a visual progress bar with the percentage of profile completeness, along with sidebar widgets that point out exactly which fields are missing. Administrators can define which fields are required and assign a percentage weight to each one (for example, gender is worth 5% and country 10%), allowing granular control over the completion process. Additionally, users can fill in their fields directly from a popup anywhere on the site, without needing to navigate to their profile page.
Among its most notable features is the ability to force profile completion by redirecting users to their edit page until they complete the required fields, as well as restricting specific actions such as commenting on posts, creating topics or replying in bbPress forums, or viewing other user profiles until the established requirements are met. It also allows filtering the member directory to show only those users who have reached a minimum completion percentage, and setting up email reminders to encourage lagging users.
Configuration is done by user roles, allowing unique requirements and fields to be set for each member type. Widgets automatically disappear once the profile is complete, and through shortcodes the progress bar can be displayed anywhere on the site. With flexible options ranging from gentle motivation through notifications to strict enforcement through access restrictions, this extension is the ideal solution to maintain complete profiles, improve member interaction, and ensure your platform has quality data.
