Ultimate Member Followers

Ultimate Member Followers is an official extension of the Ultimate Member ecosystem that adds a complete user-following system to your WordPress site. Designed for communities, niche social networks, student portals, and professional directories, this tool transforms a simple member directory into a dynamic social environment where users can connect, follow each other, and stay up to date with other members' activities.

The extension incorporates follow/unfollow buttons directly on user profiles and profile cards within member directories, allowing any member to establish connections with a single click. Each profile displays follower and following counters, as well as complete lists of who follows whom, making navigation and discovery within the community easier.

Among its most notable features are privacy controls that allow users to restrict their profile visibility to only their followers or the people they follow. Administrators can configure which user roles are allowed to follow others and limit which roles can be followed, offering granular control over interactions. Additionally, users receive email notifications when someone new follows them, with the option to disable them from their account page.

The extension includes sidebar widgets to display a user's followers or the people they follow, and it integrates naturally with other Ultimate Member ecosystem extensions, such as the real-time notification system and private messages, where restrictions can be applied so that only followers can contact a user.

With intuitive configuration from the admin panel, this extension is ideal for membership sites, forums, coaching platforms, and any community looking to increase member engagement and retention through meaningful social connections.
