The Drip Content add-on for Restrict Content Pro is an official extension that allows membership site owners to schedule the release of protected content over time, rather than making it available immediately upon subscription. Developed by Liquid Web, the team behind Restrict Content Pro, this plugin integrates natively with the existing restriction system to provide a staggered and controlled content delivery experience.

The tool works based on each member's signup date: administrators define release schedules that indicate when specific content will be available to each subscriber. If a user tries to access content before the scheduled date, they will see the standard Restrict Content Pro restriction message. Once the defined period has elapsed, the content becomes automatically visible.

Drip Content offers two flexible scheduling types. The first, Content-Type, allows scheduling the availability of posts, pages, and any custom content type, either from the content editing screen or from the subscription level. The second, Taxonomy, allows grouping content by categories, tags, or other custom taxonomies, making it easier to manage large volumes of material without needing to edit each item individually.

Release intervals are fully configurable: days, weeks, months, or years after the member's registration date. This is ideal for educational platforms, online courses, training programs, subscription services, and any site that wants to maintain member interest over the long term.

The plugin also includes a [rcp_drip_member_content] shortcode that allows each member to see a list of available content and upcoming scheduled content, with the date when it will be accessible. This shortcode supports options to hide future items and sort the list by date or by name.
