myCred Social Share

myCred Social Share is an official myCred add-on that allows WordPress site administrators to reward their users with points every time they share posts on social media. Developed by the myCred team, this add-on integrates seamlessly with the myCred points management system to gamify social interaction and increase organic content reach.

The add-on is aimed at owners of community websites, membership sites, content publishers, and any WordPress platform that uses myCred as a points system and wants to incentivize user engagement through social sharing. With this tool, every sharing action becomes an opportunity for users to accumulate points, which encourages content distribution and strengthens the community.

Among its main features, the administrator can configure point award criteria from the admin panel, defining how many points to grant per social network. It is possible to enable or disable individual social networks via checkboxes, rename button labels, and rearrange the display order of each network. Additionally, you can select which content types to show the share buttons on, choose their location, and exclude specific posts or pages using the exclusion field.

The add-on also includes a Social Follow buttons feature, which allows users to follow the site's social accounts and earn points for doing so. This feature can be displayed using the myCred Social Follow widget or the shortcode [mycred_display_social_follow_button]. For share buttons, the shortcode [mycred_display_social_icons] is available.

Advanced settings allow you to hide or show login notifications, control icon visibility for non-registered users, and set point limits per unique URL or no limit. The point hooks for sharing and following are managed from the myCred Hooks panel, where you can customize log templates and point values per social network.
