The Gravity Forms Moderation Add-On is an official Gravity Forms extension designed to filter toxic or abusive form entries and protect recipients from harmful content. It is intended for websites with public, collaborative, or sensitive forms, where an unmoderated submission can create workflow chaos, unreliable information, or even situations of online harassment and abuse.

This add-on leverages the power of the Perspective API, developed by Jigsaw and Google, which uses machine learning algorithms to analyze each form submission and detect undesirable language, insults, threats, and other toxic content. Unlike traditional spam filters, which only block bots, this tool identifies human entries that are offensive or harmful.

Entries flagged as toxic can be automatically deleted or sent to the Toxic Entry Box, a separate area within the entries list in the WordPress dashboard, preventing the team from inadvertently being exposed to harmful content. Additionally, it offers full control over toxicity filters:

• Selectable toxicity attributes: choose which type of content to block, such as toxicity, insult, profanity, or threat.
• Customizable toxicity threshold: set your own threshold between 0 (non-toxic) and 1 (highly toxic) to control which entries are flagged.
• Custom toxic word list: add your own words so the add-on automatically flags entries containing them.
• Configurable actions: decide whether to immediately delete toxic entries or send them to the toxic entry tray.
• Conditional logic: display specific confirmation messages or send notifications in response to abusive submissions, and even redirect notifications to another email or suppress them entirely.

The add-on also allows you to manually set the moderation status of each entry and use the toxicity score in the conditional logic of feeds, expanding workflow automation possibilities.
