It is intended for administrators of local directories, service portals, professional guides, and any site that publishes business, restaurant, clinic, hotel, or store listings, and that needs a structured process to verify ownership of each listing.

The extension adds a claim button that can be placed anywhere on the site using a shortcode, widget, or Gutenberg block. When clicked, a lightbox popup form opens, allowing the user to submit their claim request. The administrator receives an email notification and can review each request from an intuitive management screen, where they can approve, reject, or delete claims with a single click.

Once the claim is approved, ownership of the listing is transferred to the claiming user, who can then update their business information directly. This reduces the workload of the editorial team and ensures that directory data remains fresh and accurate. Additionally, the extension allows displaying a "verified listing" badge via a widget, shortcode, or block, which increases visitor trust in the published information.

Key features include integration with Ninja Forms to customize claim forms, automatic approval via email verification or after payment, and the ability to charge for claiming a listing in combination with the Pricing Manager add-on. It is also possible to undo previous approvals, configure customizable email notifications, and use the claim field as a sorting criterion to show verified listings first.
